Privacy

Information used for signup

When you request the guide, MyOnlineStart uses your email address to provide the resource and send the emails described beside the signup form. A guide tag identifies which resource you requested.

Service providers

The site is hosted on Netlify and uses AWeber for email delivery. These providers process information needed to operate the site and email service, including technical information such as IP addresses and browser details. AWeber also records email delivery and activity, such as opens and link clicks, to help us understand whether our emails are reaching readers.

Email choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in each email. Suppression information may be retained to honor your choice. If you receive a confirmation request, follow its instructions to confirm whether you want to subscribe.

Website analytics

If you accept measurement cookies, Google Analytics measures visits across our website, new guide signups, guide download clicks, and clicks to selected affiliate offers. Google receives information such as page addresses, cookie identifiers, device and browser details, and network information. We do not send your signup email address or form contents to Google Analytics. We remove query strings from measured page addresses and pass only recognized campaign labels. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled. See Google’s privacy policy.

Advertising measurement

If you accept measurement cookies, we use Meta Pixel on our guide landing and download pages to measure page visits and successful new guide signups and help improve our advertising. Meta may receive the page address, event details, cookie identifiers, IP address, and browser information, and may associate this activity with your Meta account. We do not send your signup email address through this Pixel, and automatic advanced matching is turned off. See Meta’s privacy policy for how Meta uses information.

You can accept or decline analytics and advertising measurement independently of subscribing to emails. Declining does not prevent you from getting the guide. Use Cookie choices at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Declining stops future Analytics and Pixel activity from this site and removes their accessible first-party cookies; it does not recall information already sent to Google or Meta. We store your choice in your browser for up to 180 days. Clearing browser storage may reset it.

If you accept advertising measurement when signing up, we also save recognized campaign and ad labels with your AWeber subscriber record to understand where signups come from. This source capture does not store full URLs or click identifiers. Changing your cookie choice stops future source capture; it does not remove labels already saved. You can request their removal through our contact page.

Temporary signup markers in your browser’s session storage help count a new signup once per service when the download page opens. They expire after 10 minutes and do not contain your email address. Meta Pixel does not load on our homepage or contact pages. Server-side conversion sharing is not enabled.

Your worksheets

The PDF worksheets are for your own use. Their answers are not submitted to MyOnlineStart.

Contact requests

When you use our contact form, Netlify processes your name, reply address, and message so we can respond. Contact requests do not subscribe you to marketing emails.
